My love of photography is one of my first memories. Sitting on a stool in a darkroom watching my Father develop photos. I’d never seen magic until that moment I saw an image surface out of the water like a memory preserved forever. I majored in Fine Art photography at CU Boulder and taught photography at Colorado Mountain College in Breckenridge, Colorado from 1996 to 2010. The darkroom was my love and travel photography was my focus. I’ve lived in several countries working as a photographer and through travel photography I fell in love with making images of people. Being a photographer has been the single most consistent thread in my life. It is woven into my very being.
I want to tell a story. A story of you, your love, the family that embraces you, the friends that arrive to be your witnesses. The tears they cry and the laughter you share are the moments that make up this beautiful one day of your life. Seeing the light in the groom’s eye at his first sight of you, the expression on your Father’s face during the Father daughter dance, all these things move me and I’m simply honored to be chosen and trusted to preserve the moments and honor your day.
